International Law

This is the kind of matter we bring before the European Court of Human Rights, UN treaty bodies such as the Human Rights Committee and the Committee against Torture, and UN special procedures such as the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention — including the INTERPOL CCF complaints and asylum-related work that often runs in parallel.

Turkish Law

This can involve any Turkish court or public authority — civil, criminal, administrative, commercial, family, labour, tax, enforcement, or a regulator. After (or alongside) those proceedings we can also take the matter to appeal, cassation, and, where the conditions are met, an individual application to the Constitutional Court (AYM). We handle the contract, criminal, family, corporate, and administrative issues that often sit next to a ruling like this.

German & EU Law / Business Immigration

This falls under work permits, family reunion, company establishment and diploma recognition — the German and EU side of what we handle, including founder and employee mobility from third countries.

Data Protection & GDPR

This is our data-protection practice: GDPR and EU compliance and documentation, external DPO services, data processing agreements and international transfers — including the privacy-by-design and risk work that sits next to those files.

Cross-Border Disputes

This is the work we do between the German, Turkish and EU systems: commercial and contractual disputes, cross-border debt collection and enforcement of judgments, shareholder and joint-venture conflicts, and ongoing counsel on risk, forum and investment structuring.

This is a general starting point, not legal advice — every situation is different.

Frequently Asked

Questions clients often ask

Is Turkut Legal a law firm? Can you represent me before a German court?

Turkut Legal is a legal consultancy registered with the Bundesamt für Justiz (BfJ) as a legal services provider under the German Legal Services Act (RDG). We provide strategic advice, expert legal opinions, and representation before international bodies such as the European Court of Human Rights and UN mechanisms, as well as before the Constitutional Court of Turkey. For proceedings that require a German Rechtsanwalt, we work with a trusted network of local counsel.

Do you work with clients who don't speak Turkish or German?

Yes. We work with clients in English, German, and Turkish, so language is rarely a barrier.

I'm not based in Germany or Turkey. Can you still help?

Yes. Much of our work is cross-border by nature. We regularly support clients navigating disputes or transactions spanning Turkish, German, and other European jurisdictions.

What's needed before applying to the ECHR or the Constitutional Court?

Both the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of Turkey generally require that domestic legal remedies be exhausted first, and strict filing deadlines apply, so it's worth having your specific situation reviewed early.
